The drawings and paintings of Caitlin Keogh blend fashion and fine art. As the daughter of a printmaker and weaver, she says that her “interest in drawing and painting developed synonymously with learning to sew and loving fabrics.” Largely inspired by commercial imagery and twentieth century textile patterns, Keogh’s work merges representational elements with abstraction, suggesting optical effects that create depth or flatten space. Caitlin Keogh lives and works in New York. Keogh earned her MFA from Bard College in 2011. In 2012 her first solo exhibition, Good Value, Fine Quality, was presented at MoMA PS1, New York.
